Clans, sectors and moving
Players settle at least one empty sector apart — unless they share a clan. Clans can build neighbourhoods; moving a colony takes it, buildings and all, to a new place.
Founding and joining a clan
Open the Clan tab to found a clan with a name and a short tag, or accept an invitation. Clan members share a chat channel and can see each other on the world map.
The clan leader can invite players by name and put members out of the clan.
The sector next door
Colonies of players who are not in the same clan must have at least one empty sector between them. Clan mates may live in the very next sector, so a clan can build a neighbourhood together.
If someone leaves a clan — or is put out of it — while living next door to a former clan mate, they have a day to move away themselves. After that they are moved to the nearest free site.
Moving your colony
You can move your colony once a week: click an empty sector on the world map and choose to move there. The new site is chosen so that your whole base fits on buildable ground.
Moving is a journey: your crew pack up and travel as a caravan with your stores, and your buildings are laid out at the new site, just as before, when they arrive. Anything that cannot stand there is taken down and its materials go into your stores.
Levels and protection
Your level rises with all the work your crew does, from level 1 to level 80. New levels unlock buildings and recipes, and your crew can learn their skills up to level 10 — and beyond that up to your own level.
New colonies cannot be attacked by other players until level 5 or a week after founding, whichever comes first.
