Is Duskora free?
Yes. Duskora is free to play in your browser. There is an optional shop, but you never need to buy anything to play or to progress.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Duskora runs in a modern browser such as Chrome, Firefox, Edge or Safari on a desktop or laptop. Phones and tablets are not supported yet.
What happens to my colony when I am offline?
Your colony keeps its state. When you come back, a short summary tells you what your crew did while you were away.
Can other players attack me?
Not at first. New colonies are protected until they reach level 5 or have played for a week, whichever comes first. If you attack another player yourself, your protection ends.
How many crew members do I get?
You start with two: one on their feet and one hurt friend to rescue. A third joins at level 5. More can be won over from tribes, strangers and prisoners.
What are tribes?
Peaceful tribes — river folk and stone kin — trade with you and remember how you treat them. Raider camps are hostile and send war parties to nearby colonies.
What is standing?
Your standing with a tribe rises when you trade with it or help it and falls when you attack it or ignore its requests. High standing brings gifts and better offers; low standing makes a tribe hostile.
How do clans work?
Players in the same clan share a chat channel and may settle in the sector right next to each other. Players in different clans must keep at least one empty sector between them.
Can I move my colony?
Yes, once a week. Your crew travel to the new site as a caravan and your buildings are set up there when they arrive.
What is the highest level?
Level 80. It is meant to take about a year of regular play; new buildings and recipes unlock along the way.
Which languages are available?
The game is available in Dutch and English. This website is available in Dutch, English and German; German in the game is coming.
